Tornado in Brooklyn 2010 September 16th

Will nature remove any traces of human existance ?

I had a pretty frightening experience with the storm. I was driving up Bedford Ave near Crown St. My friends and i saw the sky go dark and this big eerie looking greenish cloud coming towards us. First the lightening and thunder was picking up then the rain started. I was already freaking out about driving with the amount of rain coming down, and that's when the wind came! It was really hard and that tornado came out of nowhere. I was driving across Crown St. when it started gusting at the car. It was so strong that it started blowing those big orange road dividers into the street. You could see the wind funneling. It wasn't a big funnel, but there was certainly some sort of twister passing in front of us. I said "to hell with this!" and pulled over to the side of the road. We heard a thunk and thought something had hit the car. Turns out the wind was so strong it ripped one of my tail lights off my car! after a few minutes of hunkering down, it was over. The wind was gone. The rain had stopped. We were a bit shaken, and my friend who had gone out to see what the sound was was soaked to the bone. But thankfully everyone was okay.

After the storm and after repairing the tail light, we continued to drive up Bedford, and a lot of trees and fences were down, especially on side streets. There was one street we had passed where the roofs had been ripped off a series of brownstones and a garage type building had collapsed.

I wish I had thought to take out my camera and film the storm as it happened, but I was too freaked out when it was going on.

To say that nothing at all will happen and do absolutely

nothing to learn everything about 2012, could be the

biggest mistake you’ll ever make.

Tornado in Brooklyn just proves that.
